The Ninth Heaven Literature & Arts Association brings together writers, artists, and researchers committed to sustaining a serious culture of thought.
The Ninth Heaven Literature & Arts Association advances the study and practice of culture, literature, and the arts as integral to the life of society. We support work that unites creative expression with intellectual discipline: writing, design, and research that upholds clarity, form, and meaning.Membership is open to individuals worldwide who share this purpose.
Who Can Join

| Student | Those currently enrolled at a recognised educational institution |
| International | Those ordinarily resident outside Australia |
| Associate | Individuals admitted on terms set by the committee; limited access by default |
| Society / Chapter | Members of a recognised local Society or Chapter who also hold Association membership |
The committee may also elect Honorary Members in recognition of exceptional service. Those who subscribe to or contribute to Association publications may also become members automatically where the committee has made this available.
How to Apply
Send your application to nhlaa@ninthheaven.co with:
- Full name and contact details
- The membership class you believe applies to you
- Brief evidence of eligibility (e.g. student enrolment, location) where relevant
- A short note on your interest in the Association's work
The committee considers all applications and notifies applicants of its decision. New members are admitted on a probationary basis for 90 days, during which they hold the obligations of membership and such rights as the committee determines.
What Members Receive
- Access to Ninth Heaven Literary Journal and Association publications
- Participation in programmes, events, and community activities as available to your membership class
- Opportunities to contribute to editorial, production, communications, research, or event work, subject to committee direction and prior authorisation
What We Ask
Members are expected to uphold the Association's mission, values, and cultural standards, and to abide by the Constitution and all applicable policies.
