Announcing NH x Yaffa Media 2025 Photography Competition

This October, Ninth Heaven—in collaboration with Yaffa Media (Australian Photography)—opens its first photography competition.
The theme is Blue Spring: colours, renewal, growth.

We invite photographs that turn toward spring in its wider aspect: renewal in colour, growth in form, the fragile passage of the season.

Eligibility

Open to photographers of all levels, amateur and professional.
Works may be from Sydney or beyond, provided they hold to the theme.

Submissions

• Up to three images per entrant.
• Formats accepted: JPEG, PNG, HEIF.
• Colour only. Editing is permitted; artificial manipulation is not.
• Entries accepted from 1 October – 31 October.
• Submission link will be released on opening.

Recognition

Two winners will each receive a 1-year Print & Digital subscription to Australian Photography (RRP $69), courtesy of Yaffa Media.

Shortlisted works may be highlighted on Ninth Heaven’s channels at our discretion.

Their works will be presented in individual features on Ninth Heaven’s Instagram, each accompanied by a short reflection from the photographer on the thought and impulse behind the work.

Rights

Photographers retain copyright.
By submitting, entrants grant Ninth Heaven the right to reproduce selected works for the purposes of this competition.
All work must be original.
